FAQ

Is this a crypto thing?

You don’t need a wallet, a seed phrase or any knowledge of crypto to use Miso. You sign in normally and pay by card.

Underneath, Miso runs on blockchain and stablecoin infrastructure powered by Stripe and Sui Network. Payments settle in a regulated dollar stablecoin, one dollar to one token, not something whose value moves around. That’s what makes it possible to split a payment six ways in about a second and let anyone verify it happened.

What are shares? Am I buying into a song?

No. A share is the ownership record for a work: a fixed supply of ten million per composition or recording, held by the people who own it. It’s how the system knows who to pay.

Shares aren’t an investment product and we don’t offer returns on them.

What happens to my music, or my Records, if Miso goes away?

Neither lives on our servers. Works, ownership, splits and credits are public records that anyone can read and any other platform can build on. That’s the point of putting them in the open.

What does it cost?

Artists pay nothing to sell. Fans pay the artist’s price plus a 15% platform fee. A record listed at $10 costs $11.50, and the artist keeps the full $10.
